Cooler today with highs from the upper 60s north of I-20 to the mid 70s along the I-10 corridor. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms across the entire area, with chances diminishing during the afternoon hours, especially north of a Sterling City to Brownwood line.
After a cool start to the week, temperatures will warm well into the 90s by Thursday, and remain hot through the end of the week. Thunderstorm chances will re-enter the forecast by Friday, and continue through Sunday.
For locations in and near: Abilene, San Angelo, San Saba, Haskell, Throckmorton, Brady, Sweetwater, Coleman, Brownwood, Barnhart, Eden: Look for showers and a few thunderstorms to move, mainly from the west to the east, across much of West Central Texas, north of Interstate 10, today. Rainfall amounts will vary from no more than trace amounts to perhaps one quarter inch.
