Heat and Fire Weather Concerns for the Center of the Nation; Coastal Impacts Across the East

Excessive heat returns for portions of the Plains today where heat indices will likely climb above the century mark. Furthermore, warm temperatures, strong winds and dry fuels may result in rapid spread of wild fires across the western High Plains today. NOTICE:

As of September 7, 2016, the new EDIS service is now active. To use the new service, you must submit your emails using the designated PIN assigned upon registration. The new Email address for this service will be as follows:

NEW EDIS Email Address: nws.rthkwbc.ops@noaa.gov
OLD EDIS Email Address: rthkwbc@noaa.gov

The old email address, rthkwbc@noaa.gov is planned for decommissioning on Thursday October 6, 2016. NWS recommends users begin transitioning to the new email address on September 7, 2016 to ensure successful delivery of all products sent via email.
