The next in a series of upper storm systems will affect the Plains this weekend. Storms will form out west during the day Saturday and will eventually work their way east Saturday night. Severe weather potential will be limited by a lack of instability, with a low potential for marginally severe weather across E OK.
Drought conditions across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas have improved with the recent rains. The current Drought Monitor has removed the Extreme Drought from the area. More rains are expected this weekend and into early next week so hopefully, we can chip away at it some more!
