There are no watches, warnings, or advisories at this time.

As many return to school and work this week, the combination of sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s and 90s can quickly cause the interior of vehicles to rise above 120 degrees in 20 to 30 minutes. Be especially conscious of children and pets; look before you lock!
Wildfire spread potential will continue over all or parts of the RGV/Deep S. Texas ranchlands through the week, as heat, extreme to exceptional drought, and occasionally gusty winds return, especially Thursday and Friday. Remember, most wildfires are preventable. Here are some everyday wildfire prevention tips!
Still on Spring Break? The beach beckons! Sunshine, light southeast winds becoming a fresh easterly sea breeze this afternoon, and great temperatures and surf temperatures for late March join the party. Low waves and reduced south-to-north longshore currents are expected. Even Despite low-intensity currents, swimmers could be moved north (up the beach) from their entry point.
Sunny and warm/hot weather with relatively comfortable humidity by day, followed by pleasant overnights with a few clouds each morning, will prevail for the rest of the work week. Winds will pick up by late morning and afternoon Thursday and Friday. A weak front should bring slightly cooler temperatures in time for the weekend. Be sure to hydrate often and remember the sunscreen if planning to be outside.
