We are aware of a comms failure out of the Paducah, KY NWS office. Sorry it took so long to get this update sent out, but we were buried with the severe weather warnings this afternoon/evening. Special thanks to NWS Louisville for helping us keep things running. We have no estimate on repair time currently.
Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected across the region through tonight. Some areas that see multiple, slow moving storms may have flooding issues. A Flood Watch is in effect through 7am for all of southern Illinois, west Kentucky and southwest Indiana.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue into tonight. A few storms could become severe, with damaging winds or brief tornadoes the main threat.
High humidity and temperatures near to a little above 90 degrees will produce heat indices in the upper 90s to near 105 degrees Tuesday through Thursday. A Heat Advisory is in affect Tuesday along and west of the Mississippi River.
