With unstable air in place and daytime heating, isolated strong or severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. The main threats will be large hail, damaging winds, and lightning. There is also a low potential for a tornado in western sections of the Big Country.
Isolated thunderstorms may develop Friday afternoon and evening, along and east of a dryline from Haskell to Abilene to San Angelo to Sonora. Some storms may become severe. Large hail and damaging winds are possible.
Warm with a chance of showers and thunderstorms into Friday, then cooler with more widespread showers over the Weekend.
Rainfall chances increase for Saturday with numerous showers and storms across the area.
Several rounds of showers and storms are possible through the middle of next week. The chances for rainfall totals above 1/2 inch (0.50) through Sunday evening, or 1.0 inch by through Tuesday night are increasing.
