An approaching upper level disturbance will pass through with a cold frontal boundary on Friday and Saturday. This will support strong to severe thunderstorms. The area in dark green has the highest risk for seeing the severe thunderstorms.
Much needed rain is likely across West Central Texas this weekend. Rainfall totals are averaging one quarter to three quarters of an inch.
Rain chances return Friday night into Saturday. There is a medium to high (70% to 90%) chance of showers and thunderstorms. Rain amounts will generally be between 1/4 and 1 inch, with highest totals expected across the Big Country.
