Critical to Extreme Fire Weather Conditions Monday
Conditional Severe Storm Chances Monday
Hot Temperatures Today
Extremely warm and dry conditions continue across the combined Panhandles. However, breezy southwest winds are expected to create not only critical fire weather conditions but also extreme fire weather conditions.
Although chances for precipitation are overall low in the east Panhandles, a severe storm that develops is still capable of producing large hail up to 3 inches or wind gusts up to 75 mph cannot be ruled out.
Monday is looking to be another day with extremely critical fire weather conditions. Please avoid all outdoor activities that produce sparks and flames.
Severe storms will be highly dependent on the position of a dryline Monday afternoon. If a dryline can hang back in the eastern combined Panhandles log enough Monday for storms to develop in the evening an isolated severe storm or two will be possible.
Hot temperatures across all of the Panhandles today with several locations near or reaching the triple digits. Use caution if doing prolonged outdoor activities, especially in the peak heating time of late morning into the afternoon hours.
