An atmospheric river will wind down through today across California with lingering heavy rainfall, heavy mountain snow, and gusty winds. A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will cause hazardous travel conditions for the Great Lakes into the northern Mid-Atlantic and southern New England today through Saturday morning. Borger Wind Rose

A wind rose is a diagram that depicts the distribution of wind direction and speed at a location over a period of time. The length of each bar represents the percent of time the wind blows from that direction. Each bar is subdivided with colors to show wind speed ranges associated with each direction.
