Active Weather on the Way for the Panhandles
There is a possibility of seeing fog across the southern Texas Panhandle this morning. The southeast panhandle has the highest probability of seeing fog with visibilities potentially down to 1/4 mile. For travelers and morning commuters, be prepared for the possibility of fog and allow more time in getting to your destination. The most likely time is between 5-9 AM and then the fog should begin to lift and burn off after 11 AM.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected to move across the Panhandles late Thursday into Friday. These chances continue to trend with decent amounts of moisture with good potential to see another inch of rain by Saturday morning. Flooding concerns will be present with these showers so make sure to be prepared.

A marginal risk of excessive rainfall remains in place across the majority of the Panhandles this Friday. Showers with embedded thunderstorms are expected to produce heavy rainfall, especially across the southeast. Prolonged activity, especially after all the rainfall we have seen, can easily lead to flooding. Make sure to be prepared and check back for more updates.

More active weather is expected this week with current trends seeing two different systems pushing across the Panhandles. The first of these systems is looking to push in late Thursday with some of our heaviest and most widespread showers expected Friday. This will be followed by a potential second system Sunday into next Monday morning. While the threat for severe weather has been low, flooding concerns are still present.
