Strong thunderstorms may bring excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the northern Gulf Coast today and over parts of the southern Rockies into the High Plains today through the weekend. Rain chances should shift throughout the day from the northern Panhandles to the southern Texas Panhandles as we go into the evening and overnight hours tonight. Could see areas of heavy rain and a few storms with gusty winds and vivid lightning at times.
