3 to 6 inches of rainfall have already fallen over portions of Deep South Texas over the past 48 hours. Additional rainfall is expected through the weekend. Due to the soil already being saturated, there could be areas of isolated to scattered flash flooding in areas that receive heavier rainfall.

A flood watch is issued when flash flooding is possible. A flood warning is issued when flooding is happening or about the happen.

There is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 4) for excessive rainfall across much of Deep South Texas on Saturday. Meanwhile, on Sunday, there is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 4) for excessive rainfall across much of the area. Rainfall over this time period will most likely be between 1 to 2 inches, with locally heavier amounts of 3 to 4 inches. Continue to check back for updates to the forecast.
