A cold front arrives Sunday with strong northeasterly winds gusting to gale force into Sunday night. A Gale Warning is in effect for the Gulf Waters (0-60 nm) and a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Laguna Madre.
A moderate risk of rip currents is forecast for local beaches today. The passage of a cold front this morning will bring mostly cloudy skies and stronger northerly winds this afternoon.
Following a cold front today, cool temperatures will continue Monday before warmer temperatures return midweek. Rain chances will increase again Tuesday and Wednesday.
