A strong cold front will arrive this weekend, ushering in much colder air by Saturday afternoon. Low temperatures may fall below freezing across portions of the region Sunday and Monday morning. Temperatures shown in this table could trend colder, as the forecast could change. Stay tuned for further updates.
An Arctic front brings much colder air into Deep South Texas by Saturday afternoon. This will include wind chills as cold as the upper teens to the upper 20s for Sunday and Monday morning. Winds chills could trend even colder if the forecast changes.
An upper level system will bring low to medium (20-40%) precipitation chances this weekend. Rain is most likely across Deep South Texas. However, if temperatures trend colder, there is a low (less than 10%) potential for rain to transition to wintry precipitation across portions of the Northern Ranchlands.
Low to medium rain chances continue on Wednesday across portions of the region. Highs warm into the upper 70s and low 80s by the end of the week. A strong cold front arrives this weekend, bringing cooler temperatures and rain chances.
