We are monitoring Tropical Depression Two, which has formed in the Eastern Gulf. The area of low pressure currently has a well defined circulation and wind speeds up to 25 knots. It is forecast to become a Tropical Storm in the next 24 hours, and is expected to move west-northwest towards the Louisiana and Upper Texas Coast. At this time, no direct impacts are expected for Deep South Texas but we could see increased rip currents, dangerous surf, and minor coastal flooding later this week.
