There is a HIGH RISK of rip currents at the local beaches through Saturday. Every year, over 100 people die from rip currents in the US. More information about rip currents can be found at weather.gov/safety/ripcurrent

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 6 PM CST Saturday evening. Southeasterly winds of 15-25 knots gusting up to 30 knots, and seas 5-8 feet seas are expected.

A strong cold front arrives early Sunday, bringing rain and the coolest temperatures since February. We'll likely start off the month of December with temperatures around 10 degrees below normal, with high temperatures in the 50s on Monday.

A strong cold front will bring a medium to high chance of rain Sunday persisting along the coast into Monday. Well-below normal temperatures are expected Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures slowly climb through the workweek, but remaining near average.
