A Gale Watch has been issued for the Laguna Madre and the Gulf Waters from late Sunday night through Monday afternoon. Strong north winds 20-30 kts gusting up to 40 kts associated with a strong cold front will result in hazardous seas with wave heights ranging between 9-14 feet and a very rough bay late Sunday night through Monday.

Mostly favorable conditions continue at the local beaches, including a LOW RISK of rip currents.

The passage of a strong cold front on Monday will end the recent trend of very warm and dry weather.
