Air Quality Concerns; Fire Weather in the West; Flash Flooding in the Southeast

Overview

On Friday, March 24th, an elongated winter/spring storm began impacting south- central Montana that lasted through the weekend into Monday morning. It started out as strong rain showers Friday afternoon, then quickly switched over to snow that night. The mountains and foothills were impacted the most, with reports of ~50" of snow that fell in the Beartooth/Absarokas and at the Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort.
