In Alaska, a powerful storm will bring dangerous seas, blizzard conditions, strong winds and bitterly cold across the state through mid-week. Meanwhile, Pacific storm will move inland across California with lower elevation rain and accumulating mountain snow; Strong winds will affect the central Great Basin. If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
