Heavy Rainfall Continues from the Southwest to the Plains; Severe Thunderstorms in the Southern Plains

Pacific tropical moisture wrapping into a storm will continue a multi-day heavy rainfall event this week that will impact the Southwest into the Plains. Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of mainly severe wind gusts appear possible across portions of the southern Plains this afternoon into tonight. A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
