Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Continue Tonight in the East; Early Heat Wave in the West

Scattered strong to severe storms with damaging winds and potentially a tornado or two are expected tonight from the coastal Carolinas into the Mid-Atlantic states. An anomalously early heat wave will continue to intensify and expand across the West and Southwest as the week progresses. The Integrated Services Division (ISD) provides support to the Western Region field offices by:

providing operational IDSS guidance
managing the WR Regional Operations Center (WR ROC)
managing regional programs on weather, water, and climate
providing guidance on the implementation and interpretation of national policies and procedures
developing regional policies and guidance

The Integrated Services Division consists of both the Operations Branch and the Services Branch.
