Sinlaku Continues to Impact the Marianas; Severe Weather from the Central US to the Northeast; Late-Season Snow in the Northwest

Sinlaku continues to bring destructive winds, widespread heavy rain/flooding, and storm surge to the Marianas. Showers and severe thunderstorms are expected from the Northeast to the Mid-Mississippi Valley and to the Central/Southern Plains through Thursday. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
