Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding

Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
