Tracking Storms with Impacts in the Eastern and Northwest U.S. into Friday

A storm will track north of the Great Lakes Friday with widespread rain showers across the Eastern U.S. along and ahead of its cold front. Further south along the front isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
