Severe Thunderstorms with Tornadoes and Heavy Rain Threat shifts East for Tuesday

Severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop from the mid-Mississippi River Valley south into the ArkLaTex on Tuesday. The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
