Thunderstorms in the Mid-Mississippi Valley and Florida; Fire Weather Concerns in the Northern Plains

Isolated severe storms capable of hail and gusty winds are possible mainly this evening across portions of the mid-Mississippi Valley. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
