Sinlaku Continues to Impact the Marianas; Severe Weather for the Central Plains and Northeast; Record Warmth for mid-Atlantic to Southeast

Sinlaku continues to affect the Marianas as it moves north through Friday. Meanwhile, severe thunderstorms are expected from the Northeast to the Mid-Mississippi Valley today and for the Central/Southern Plains on Friday. Systems and Facilities Division (SFD)

The Systems and Facilities Division (SFD) manages the operations and maintenance of the various systems and facilities which support the NWS Western Region weather enterprise. Examples include Doppler Radar (WSR-88D), Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), NOAA Weather Radio (NWR), Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS), local and wide area networks, buildings, grounds, and towers, just to name a few.
