Unsettled Weather for Northwest, Central and Eastern U.S. Leading Up To Thanksgiving

A pre-Thanksgiving storm system will develop over the Central U.S. Tuesday then move through the East on Thanksgiving. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from the south-central Plains into the lower Mississippi Valley while heavy snow is forecast for the central Rockies. Overview

Two tornadoes, both rated EF-1, produced damage in parts of west central Illinois west of the Illinois River valley during the evening of March 28th. Around 8 pm CDT, a tornado damaged homes and outbuildings south and east of Ipava in Fulton County. A second tornado damaged trees and roofs of buildings on the far southwest side of Peoria around 9 pm.
