Overview

A line of storms on Wednesday morning June 5th intensified as it went through Vermilion County. An EF-1 tornado developed south of East Lynn.

Summary: The tornado touched down about 3 miles south of East Lynn along E 3800 North Rd, where it completely destroyed 7 grain bins and tossed the debris for about a half mile to the E-NE. A couple of power poles were snapped at that location as well. The tornado moved to the E then NE as it damaged trees, home siding and the roof of an outbuilding along N 770 East Rd. The tornado progressed in a more northerly direction as it damaged some trees at a residence about a half mile to the north, before dissipating in the field to the northeast.
