Daylight Saving Time begins 2 am Sunday, March 14th

Daylight Saving Time comes to an end Sunday morning at 2 am. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night. This would also be a good time to check the batteries in your smoke detector and NOAA Weather Radio receiver.

While the Illinois legislature has introduced bills in the last couple years to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, the legislation did not pass and was thus was not signed into law. Any changes would also need the approval of the Federal government.
