Severe Weather Continues for the Center of the Nation; Heat Concerns for Southern Texas

A developing storm across the Plains will bring rounds of severe weather for center of the nation the next couple of days. In addition, increasing temperatures and winds with low humidity values will raise wildfire concerns for portions of the Southwest. Overview

Numerous thunderstorms developed across Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio on  April 17th, 2024. These storms caused wind damage, hail, and minor flooding. A few rotating wall clouds were reported, however there were no confirmed tornadoes with this event within the NWS Northern Indiana Forecast area (as of 4/17/24 at 7:30 pm EDT).
