*Twin Cities Metro classes:  Click here Metro Skywarn for all Skywarn Spotter classes in the metro.  These classes are taught by Metro Skywarn instructors, who are non-NWS meteorologists or long time storm chasers or spotters, and have been trained by the National Weather Service in Chanhassen to present Skywarn training.  They offer many classes online and around the Twin Cities metro area from March to early June.  Their classes are around three hours long.  For more information, check out the Metro Skywarn web site.

*Online Skywarn Training: Online classes last around one hour and are meant as very basic training or a refresher.  They are not as in depth as the in-person classes.

* Non-Metro Classes (see list below):  All classes listed below are all free and last around two hours.  A few classes may last a little longer.  Additional classes will be added if local officials request a class for their area.  Occasionally a class in the metro will be listed here if it is taught by a NWS meteorologist.  Pre-registration for any class is required only if specifically stated.  More information about our Skywarn program is available on the NWS Twin Cities Skywarn page.
