Tracking Areas of Fire Weather, Severe Weather, and Winter Weather

Gusty winds and dry conditions will continue to bring fire weather concerns to the southern Plains through Friday. Severe thunderstorms including a few tornadoes, large hail and damaging wind gusts are expected across parts of the Midwest and lower Ohio Valley today.   1. 1.8m or greater C-Band satellite dish (larger dish sizes provide better reception)
  2. Low Noise Band (LNB) down converter; Norsat 3220 or better
  3. Satellite receiver; DVB-S2 Novra S300 or better
  4. Ethernet, RF Coaxial or CatV network cables as needed
  5. Personal Computer
  6. Optional: access to Internet and NWWS-Open Interface set-up for NWS product ingest
