Heavy Snow from the Midwest into the Great Lakes; Locally Heavy Rain in the Western Gulf Coast

A significant winter storm will produce a broad area of moderate to heavy snow from the Midwest through the western Great Lakes. Significant snow accumulations of 6-12 inches, and locally more than 1 foot, and gusty wind may cause hazardous travel conditions.   1. 1.8m or greater C-Band satellite dish (larger dish sizes provide better reception)
  2. Low Noise Band (LNB) down converter; Norsat 3220 or better
  3. Satellite receiver; DVB-S2 Novra S300 or better
  4. Ethernet, RF Coaxial or CatV network cables as needed

  6. Optional: access to Internet and NWWS-Open Interface set-up for NWS product ingest
