A Heat Advisory is in effect for today for most areas west of the Cumberland Plateau. Heat index values are expected to reach 105+. There are low to medium chances for storms the next several days. The most likely timing is from late morning into the evening. The severe storm threat remains very low. However, storms that do develop may produce heavy downpours, gusty winds and frequent lightning.
