Rain chances will start this afternoon with on and off rain chances through the rest of the week. 1 to 3 inches of rain will fall through the rest of this week. The overall severe storm risk is low, but the northwest counties of Middle Tennessee are under a level 1 out of 5 severe risk for gusty winds and hail late today.
There is a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms in northwest Middle Tennessee late this afternoon and evening. This means isolated wind gusts and large hail are possible with some weakening storms that will be moving in from the northwest. The tornado threat is extremely low.
Rain chances will begin late today and continue on and off through the end of the week. Chances are very high for more than 1 inch of rain with medium chances for more than 2 inches. This will bring some much needed drought relief.

damages several stores, and covers some roads, especially Old
Franklin Road, which also sustains some damage.
