Severe Thunderstorm and Heavy Rainfall Potential Continues

A low pressure center tracking across the Great Lakes and its associated cold front extending across the Southern Plains will focus occasional showers and thunderstorms through tonight. A few of these thunderstorms may become severe alongside heavy rainfall that may cause flash flooding; Portions of the Southern Plains would be the greatest threat for these hazards through tonight. Overview

Here is a summary of all of the 2018 tornadoes in our area. There were 35 total across our four state region, with 20 of those occurring during the February 24th and April 3rd events. There were 5 EF-2's including one that struck the southeast side of Hopkinsville, KY on February 24th. Below you will find an interactive map showing all of the tornado tracks for the year. If you zoom in on a certain tornado track, you can view more detailed information. The second tab (Statistics/Tables) has more information regarding the tornadoes in 2018.
