Monthly Climate Overview

July of 2014 was a much cooler and drier than normal month across the Missouri Ozarks into extreme southeast Kansas. Many records were tied or broken for low temperatures. Northwest flow aloft kept the cooler and drier air mass in place for much of the month. In fact, all 4 ASOS climate stations broke the top 10 coolest July's on record with West Plains setting a new record.
