Tracking Atmospheric River in the Northwest U.S. and Clipper with Winter Weather in the Northeast U.S.

A prolonged atmospheric river will continue to bring gusty winds, heavy rainfall which may lead to urban and river flooding with possible landslides, and heavy inter-mountain snow over the Pacific Northwest into the northern Rockies through Thursday. Overview

Widespread showers and thunderstorms with embedded locally strong to severe storms impacted the Missouri Ozarks and far southeastern Kansas Friday, May 29, 2015. The strongest storms produced localized wind damage and marginal hail across far southern Missouri.  Widespread rainfall amounts of one to two inches with localized amounts of three to five inches resulted considerable flooding low water crossings and small streams as well as flooding of several main stem rivers.
