La humedad persistente causada por una onda tropical que se aleja de nuestra área causará aguaceros y tronadas en las horas de la tarde a través del noroeste de Puerto Rico. El resto del área, incluyendo las Islas Vírgenes Estadounidenses, pueden esperar aguaceros pasajeros durante el día. La humedad combinada con temperaturas altas, elevará la amenaza de calor particularmente en las áreas costeras. Lingering humidity caused by a tropical wave moving away from our area, will lead to showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon across northwestern PR. [Aug 3rd] A moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents is expected along the beaches of northern to eastern Puerto Rico, Culebra, and St. Croix today. Breaking waves are anticipated to reach around 4 to 5 feet. Swimmers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, remain near a lifeguard if possible, and always adhere to local flag warning systems to ensure their safety. Se espera un riesgo moderado de corrientes marinas que amenazan la vida hoy y esta noche a lo largo de las playas del norte y este de Puerto Rico, Culebra y St Croix hoy.
