Chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms are seen across all of South Central Texas today with cooler than normal highs in the 80s to low 90s. Thunderstorms may produce heavy rain leading to isolated flooding and gusty wind up to 40-50 mph.
Rain chances have been extended into the weekend, mainly impacting the western half of South Central Texas. Drier weather returns Sunday into next week, though precipitation chances remain in the coastal plains mainly due to afternoon sea breeze showers and thunderstorms. Warmer temperatures into the mid and upper 90s return Sunday into next week.
