Overview
Hurricane force winds occurred across Kansas beginning the morning of July 13th and ending the morning of July 14th. Two overnight mesoscale convective systems moved across central and south central Kansas which whipped through with 80mph winds. During the evening of July 13th, a round of severe weather occurred in south central Kansas which brought an impressive cumulonimbus tower that could be seen from far away; these storms had hail up to ping ball sized unlike the morning storms.
