Last Map Update: Wed, Oct 15, 2025 at 11:52:36 pm CDT

There are no watches, warnings, or advisories at this time.

The rest of the work week will remain dry and warm. Temperatures and moisture will slowly increase through Saturday ahead of the next system to impact the area. A strong disturbance over the western US will work through the Plains and into the Mid and Lower Mississippi Valley this weekend. This will drive a weak cold front into the area providing the best chance of rain for the next 7 days overnight Saturday and early Sunday. The probability of strong to severe storms across southeastern LA and southern MS is fairly low. That said there is a greater chance of severe weather across the ARKLATEX and ARKLAMS Saturday and Saturday night. Hopefully we can get some much needed rain but don't hold your breath for any type of drought busting rain.
Today's Severe Weather Awareness Week topic is Flash Flood Safety. Prepare for floods before they happen. Identifying the fastest way to higher ground. Flooding is hard to se during the day, it is nearly impossible to see at night. NEVER drive through flood waters!
