Another really hot day for the islands. Heat indices of 112 or more expected for the north and west coast of Puerto Rico, and for St. Croix. While the other coastal areas in the USVI, Vieques, Culebra and eastern Puerto Rico will see values of 108 to 111F. Stay hydrated!
Increasing moisture and a developing trough/low pressure will bring wet and unsettled conditions for the islands Wednesday onward. The wettest day should be Wednesday, but enough moisture will linger into early in the weekend. Groups of showers and thunderstorms will increase the risk of flooding, mudslides and rapid river rises.
Life threatening rip currents are possible, especially across southwestern Puerto Rico and eastern St. Croix.
