WFOs Fairbanks and Juneau Weather Forecast Zone Refinements (implementation March 2025)

Several minor issues were identified in northern Alaska and the Southeast Panhandle with the consistency between NWS forecast zones and the official State of Alaska geographic boundaries. These inconsistencies could lead to unintended overalerting in certain instances. Refinements will be made to public and fire weather areas to correct these issues. These changes will be transparent to the user.
