More than 12,000 acres of timber was destroyed.

About 5 buildings were destroyed including several dairy barns and 25-50 damaged. Metal roofing, in some cases, was carried nearly a mile. Numerous trees were uprooted. In the Prarie-Eden area, 5 Y-shaped steel transmission towers, built to withstand 200 mph winds, were blown down.
