Severe Thunderstorms Possible in the South Central U.S.; Wildfire Smoke Impacts in the North Central U.S.

The Evergreen Metropolitan District Wastewater Treatment Plant in Evergreen Colorado was awarded a 50-year Institutional Length-of-Service Award for 50 years of continued dedicated service to the National Weather Service as part of the Cooperative Observer Program. The wastewater treatment plant has been diligently collecting daily observations of weather conditions that include maximum and minimum temperature, precipitation, snowfall, and snow depth.
