Areas of Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall Sunday

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms may pose a risk for damaging wind gusts over the Carolinas, southeast Virginia, and the Tennessee Valley Sunday afternoon then the northern Plains from late afternoon into Sunday night. The Survey team found EF-1 damage with the tornado that occurred on June 7th.  The path length was 7 miles with a width of 50 yards in spots.  The tornado started 2 miles northeast of Firestone and ended 3 miles northwest of Platteville.
