National Weather Service United States Department of Commerce

Now that the severe threat has ended, attention turns to gusty winds this afternoon and evening as the cold front moves through the region, followed by several nights of low temperatures near or below freezing. A Freeze Warning is in effect for much of our forecast area tonight. Temperatures are forecast to fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s and will likely be near freezing even in the counties not currently included in the Freeze Warning. Temperatures will likely be even colder Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and a Freeze Watch is in effect for the entire forecast area tomorrow. A third night of near to subfreezing temperatures is possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning before temperatures begin to warm up. Anyone with sensitive vegetation across the Midlands and CSRA should protect or bring in their plants.
