Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Southern Plains; Heat Continues in the West

Strong to severe thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the southern Plains today through Friday. Hot to dangerously hot temperatures are forecast across portions of the Pacific Northwest and southern Great Basin today. Overview

Isolated thunderstorms developed along a lake breeze and surface trough in eastern Wisconsin during the late afternoon of June 5, 2019. One storm became severe and produced hail up to tennis ball-size around Stephensville in Outagamie County. Wind gusts over 40 mph were also reported.
