Another bitterly cold night is in store across the area. Low temperatures are expected to drop to around zero along the Lake Michigan shoreline to the teens below zero across central and north-central Wisconsin. A northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph could produce wind chill readings of 20 below to 30 below zero north and west of the Fox Valley. A wind chill advisory may be needed for tonight into Friday morning in this region. Wind chill readings in the Fox Valley and lakeshore region are expected to drop into the teens below zero. Frostbite can occur with wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero in less than 30 minutes, so be sure to dress in layers and cover exposed skin if you plan to venture outside.
