Heavy Rainfall for Portions of the West and Central U.S.; Monitoring Fire Weather Conditions for New England

Tropical moisture continues to flow across portions of the Great Basin, desert Southwest and California. Isolated instances of flash flooding remains possible. Meanwhile, a storm and associated frontal boundary will focus showers and thunderstorms for the center of the nation. The NWS is presenting "Winter Weather Safety: Are You Weather-Ready?" at  locations in north-central and northeast Wisconsin this fall.

The hour-long talk will highlight winter weather facts, safety tips, basic training on winter weather reporting, and the outlook for the upcoming winter season, including a discussion about this year's La Niña. 

The presentations are free and open to all!
