Severe Weather Spotter Training Schedule

The spotter training season for 2018 is underway. Visit this page often to see schedule updates and additional classes.

Official spotter training will be offered three different ways:
 (1) In-person instruction--approx 10 classes around northeast Wisconsin
 (2) Web seminar--live instruction via the web. These will be scheduled in the spring.
 (3) Self-paced online courses

For more information about these official NWS spotter courses, or the spotter program in general, visit our Storm Spotter web page:

Calendar of Spotter Classes for 2018

All in-person classes and web seminars will be listed on the calendar. Most are open to the public. Click class time/location for details and location/map. Web seminars will be labeled as such. Check back often for schedule updates and new web seminar additions.

Note: If you want to attend a web seminar ("webinar"), you must live in the NWS Green Bay service area. See details below the calendar.

Spotter Training Webinars

Live web seminars ("webinars") are open to residents of northeast and central Wisconsin. Click here to see a map for eligible counties. The training is the same that is offered in-person.

You must have a PC, laptop or tablet that can view the application. Audio is supplied via phone. After registering, you will receive an email about one week before the webinar with login information.

Register for the web seminar via email: at least one day before the seminar. Please include your name, city, and county that you reside in -- and include date of webinar you would like to attend.
