Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Threat in the Central U.S.; Severe Weather in the Southern Plains

Heavy rain and flash flooding is likely across portions of the Midwest into the Central and Southern Plains Thursday. A Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall has been issued. Scattered strong to severe storms will be possible Thursday from parts of the Mississippi River Valley into the Southern Plains. The main threats will be large hail and a few tornadoes.
