Severe Weather and Flooding Threats for the Central U.S.; Dangerous Heat in the Southern and Western U.S.

Severe weather and flooding threats will continue for portions of the central U.S. over the next couple of days, with multiple rounds of thunderstorms expected. Dangerous heat will persist across the southern and western U.S. through mid-week. As of the afternoon of June 23, 14 tornadoes have been identified as occurring during the June 18-19 outbreak. The highest rating was EF1/105mph occurring in Avery Estates; longest damage path waqs 12.4 miles with the Avery Estates tornado, and the widest damage path was 350 yards associated with the Eden Isle, LA tornado.
We are finally looking to be on the slightly drier side of the forecast however we are also expecting to see above normal temperatures
South Mississippi and southeast Louisiana return to a more typical June weather regime for the next few days. Highs of 90 to 95 and lows in the 70s will be typical, with isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms.
