Hot and humid conditions continue going into the new week. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s outside of thunderstorms impacting the area. Daily chances of showers and thunderstorms continue as well especially during the afternoon.
Summer is here and while it's not boiling hot like it was in 2023, it's still been slightly warmer and more humid than normal thus far in June. Local climate sites (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Gulfport) are between 0.6 and 1.5 degrees above average for the month of June.
