Gradual warm-up this week across southeast Louisiana & southwest/coastal MS 🌤️📈 Morning lows climb from the 40s/50s ➡️ 50s/60s by late week Afternoon highs push into the upper 70s to low 80s 🌡️ Rain chances stay low…until a few isolated showers pop up Friday (mainly coastal) 🌦️
Elevated Tides / Coastal Flooding mid to late week during high tide cycles. Strong easterly winds are expected to develop by early to mid week, with sustained winds of 15–25 kt and gusts of 30–35 kt continuing through at least Friday. These persistent onshore winds, combined with the ongoing spring tide cycle, will likely lead to coastal flooding from Tuesday into the latter part of the week.
Strong and persistent easterly winds will create hazardous conditions across all local marine areas. Expect winds 20 to 30 knots with rough seas.
