Heavy Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorm Threats for the Plains and Southeast

A frontal boundary extending from the western High Plains to the Southeast will focus additional showers and thunderstorms this weekend. Some of these storms may become severe, alongside frequent lightning, and isolated instances of flash flooding. WITH BELOW-FREEZING TEMPERATURES RECORDED ACROSS THE MID-SOUTH,THE
GROWING SEASON HAS EFFECTIVELY ENDED FOR THE AREA. AS A RESULT, 
THIS WILL MARK THE END OF THE NWS MEMPHIS FALL 2021 FROST 
ADVISORY/FREEZE WATCH/FREEZE WARNING PROGRAM.

WE WILL RESUME THE FROST AND FREEZE PROGRAM IN THE SPRING OF 2022.
